The Patronus Experience

The Patronus Charm, introduced in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, is a defensive spell which produces a silver, animal guardian, used to protect a witch or wizard against Dementors. Released in 2016, the Patronus experience on Pottermore.com was a wildly successful global launch, allowing the user to discover their personal patronus. I creative directed the three.JS interactive experience from concept stage, to finding the agency who could realise J.K. Rowling's vision, to the final designs of each animal. But don't read about it, discover yours!

The relaunch was a huge success, with strong KPIs across the board. It launched with a message from J.K. Rowling...

Harry Potter global Digital Covers

I worked with the award winning illustrator Olly Moss to create the first ever global digital covers for the Harry Potter series. The covers were so well received, they have since been turned into posters and they have been picked up by numerous international print publishers. The appeared int the in the British Library’s A History of Magic exhibition.

Twitter Emojis

I designed two Harry Potter emojis for Twitter. The first, for the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philsopher’s Stone, was used over one million times. In both designs, the desire was to celebrate the franchise with a focus on clean and captivating design.
